According to the latest annual report from Elsevier on the citation performance of researchers in 2023, based on citation indicators from the Scopus database, 40 researchers from Shiraz University have been among the top 2% most cited.
Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ronaghi, a faculty member of Economics, Management, and Social Sciences at Shiraz University, has been listed among the top 2% of the world's scientists for the first time in the field of humanities. In subject area analysis, Dr. Hamid Reza Pourqasemi, Dr. Mohammad Reza Rahimpour, and Dr. Ahmad Aryan have been ranked first to third in Shiraz University. Dr. Ahmad Oryan has also been ranked eighth globally in veterinary medicine, Dr. Hamid Reza Pourqasemi has been ranked 36th globally in geochemistry and geophysics, and Dr. Mohammad Reza Rahimpour has been ranked 69th in the world in the field of chemical engineering.
Additionally, based on the analysis of length of service in terms of citation performance, 29 researchers from Shiraz University have been among the top 2% most cited. Dr. Ahmad Sheikhi, Dr. Hamid Reza Pourqasemi, and Dr. Hossein Hendi have been ranked first to third in Shiraz University.
