Dr. Mehrdad Niakosari, the professor of the Department of Food Science and Technology at Shiraz University, has been recognized as a national outstanding researcher. According to the public relations office of Shiraz University, at the 25th Festival of Honoring Distinguished Researchers, Technologists, and Innovators held on Sunday, December 15, 2023, with the presence of the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, officials, researchers, three governors and the head of the university, 28 distinguished university researchers, two selected researchers from the Ministry of Health, one skilled researcher, and eight young researchers were honored. Among these, Dr. Mehrdad Niakosari was awarded as the outstanding researcher in the agriculture field. It is noteworthy that Dr. Niakosari has previously been listed among the top 1% and 2% of the most cited scientists in the world.
