It is notable that the ISC Institute for Citation and Monitoring annually identifies highly-cited researchers in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The recent report is based on the data gathered by the Institute over the period of 2011–2020 across sixteen subject areas. The main criterion for selection is the number of citations to the candidates' scientific and scholarly output in the above-mentioned fields, as well as multidisciplinary research areas.
