نشست خبری پنجمین دوره ی مسابقات ملی دانشجویی مکانیک سیالات با حضور دکتر محمدجواد عابدینی، رئیس دانشکده مهندسی دانشگاه شیراز و دکتر محراب امیری، دبیر اجرایی این دوره از مسابقات، در سالن معیری دانشکده ی مهندسی دانشگاه شیراز برگزار شد.
در این نشست، دکتر عابدینی در جمع اهالی رسانه به اهداف برگزاری این مسابقه پرداخت و گفت: یکی از دغدغه های مهم زیربنایی که در سطح دانشکده، دانشگاه و کشور دنبال می کنیم، این است که بروز و ظهور تحصیلات دانشگاهی را در حل و فصل مشکلات جامعه به گونه ای ملموس ببینیم. ایشان با تاکید بر اینکه دانشگاه باید جایگاه واقعی خود را در جامعه بیابد، افزود: برای دستیابی به این مهم، دانشجویان به عنوان جامعه ی هدف، باید به این باور برسند که از تحصیلات دانشگاهی، تنها به گرفتن مدرک دانشگاهی بسنده نکنند، بلکه مقرر شده است که از تحصیلات در بهبود زندگی فردی، اجتماعی، حرفه ای و معنوی استفاده کنند.
وی یکی از راه های فراهم سازی شرایط برای ایفای نقش دانشگاه در جامعه را برگزاری همین نوع مسابقاتی دانست که ماهیت بینارشته ای دارند و توضیح داد: مبحث مکانیک سیالات، ازجمله دروسی هست که در گرایش های مختلفی چون: مکانیک، مهندسی عمران، شیمی، مهندسی آب کشاورزی، مهندسی پزشکی، زمین شناسی و بیوسیستم تدریس می شود و از مخاطب قابل توجهی برخوردار است که این گونه مسابقات می تواند زمینه را برای تبدیل مباحث تئوری و نظری به فعالیت های عملی و کاربردی فراهم سازد.
ایشان از دیگر اهداف برگزاری این مسابقه به ایجاد نشاط علمی، فراهم سازی زمینه ی رقابت علمی و ایجاد یک فرصت برابر برای بروز استعدادها در جامعه ی مخاطب اشاره کرد.
دکتر عابدینی با اشاره به حضور داوران خبره ی دستگاه های اجرایی از دانشگاه ها و سازمان های مختلف مانند صنایع دریایی برای ارزیابی کارهای عملی دانشجویان، این حرکت را تلاشی در راستای هدف رسیدن به تعامل بیش تر دانشگاه و جامعه توضیح داد.
در ادامه، دکتر محراب امیری، دبیر اجرایی پنجمین دوره ی مسابقات ملی دانشجویی مکانیک سیالات در جمع خبرنگاران اعلام کرد: این دوره از مسابقات روزهای ١٤ و ١٥ اسفند، در دانشکده ی مهندسی دانشگاه شیراز برگزار می شود و آخرین مهلت ارسال آثار ۳۰ بهمن ماه سال جاری است و تاکنون تقریبا از همه ی دانشگاه های کشور ثبت نام کرده اند.
ایشان به پیشینه ی برگزاری این دوره مسابقات اشاره کرد و گفت: پیش از این، چهار دوره ی مسابقات قبل در دانشگاه های صنعتی اصفهان، اصفهان و کرمان برگزار شده و این نخستین باری است که این مسابقات به میزبانی دانشگاه شیراز برگزار می گردد.
وی به محورهای اصلی در برگزاری این مسابقات پرداخت و توضیح داد: این مسابقات شامل چند بخش اصلی ازجمله: نماهنگ، آزمایشگاه مجازی، ایده شو و ایده های عملی است.
ایشان درخصوص وجه تمایز این دوره از مسابقات با دوره های قبل، به تسهیلات، امتیازات و جوایز متفاوت آن مانند کسر خدمت سربازی، یک نمره ارفاق برای معرفی به مرکز استعدادهای درخشان، معرفی طرح های برتر به شتاب دهنده ی آبان و و جوایز نقدی و... اشاره کرد.
دکتر امیری همچنین به در نظر گرفتن یک بازه ی زمانی برای حضور و بازدید دانش آموزان از این مسابقات نیز پرداخت و گفت: این تلاش می تواند زمینه را برای جذب دانش آموزان مستعد به دانشگاه شیراز فراهم سازد و آن ها را با رشته ها و گرایش های مختلف آشنا کند.
