Dr. Hamidreza Pourghasemi, Shiraz University’s Faculty member, was appreciated as the nation’s top researcher of Watershed Science and Engineering.

According to Shiraz University's Public Relations report, the country's top researchers and technologists were introduced and honored on Thursday, the last day of the Research and Technology Week, in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and officials of the National Research and Technology Week headquarters.

In this ceremony, held in Shahid Beheshti University's International Conference Hall, top technologists from several university technology departments, Park technologists (based in the Science and Technology Parks), Business Incubator Technologists (based in the Business Incubator Centers), the Student Technologist and the top Device Technician (other devices' technicians) were introduced. Moreover, excellent researchers from universities and centers affiliated with the Ministry of Science as well as other organizations, high-quality publications, and leading scientific associations were introduced and celebrated.

 Furthermore, the best faculty members in the field of communication with the industry, the best governors who advocate technology, and the university's officials and presidents who are proponents of research and technology were also apprised.

 Dr. Hamidreza Pourghasemi, Shiraz University's Professor of Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering, was introduced and appreciated as the country's top researcher in the Department of Watershed Science and Engineering.

It bears mentioning that earlier this year, in the field of agriculture Dr. Pourghasemi has been ranked 33rd in his own area of expertise, among the world's most cited researchers; as such, he was placed among the world's 1st most cited scientists.
