برای نخستین بار، پژوهشگران بخش شیمی دانشگاه شیراز، حسگر تشخیص عفونت ادراری طراحی کردند.
دکتر بهرام همتی نژاد ، عضو هیات علمی بخش شیمی و سرپرست تیم تحقیق اظهار داشت: در طراحی این حسگر از 16 نانو ذره طلا و نقره استفاده شده است و برهمکنش بخارات حاصل از باکتری های موجود در نمونه ادرار با نانو ذرات باعث ایجاد تغییر رنگ در حسگر می شود به گونه ای که نانو ذرات طلا، از قرمز به بنفش و نانو ذرات نقره از زرد به قهوه ای تغییر رنگ می دهد.
دکتر همتی نژاد اضافه کرد: از آنجا که بخارات هر باکتری با باکتری دیگر متفاوت است، تغییر رنگ نانو ذرات، نوع باکتری و شدت تغییر رنگ و غلظت عفونت را مشخص می کند.
این استاد شیمی دانشگاه شیراز ادامه داد: در حال حاضر روش متداول برای تشخیص عفونت ادراری، کشت نمونه ادرار است که نتیجه آن پس از 48 ساعت مشخص می شود اما به کمک این حسگر این مدت زمان به نیم ساعت کاهش می یابد.
دکتر محمدمهدی بردبار ، دانش آموخته دکتری شیمی و طراح این حسگر نیز با بیان اینکه این وسیله در ابعاد 2 در 2 سانتی متر طراحی شده است، گفت: این حسگر بر روی درب ظرف نمونه ادرار بیمار چسبانده می شود و پس از آن، ظرف حاوی نمونه ادرار و حسگر به مدت 30 دقیقه در دمای حدود 35درجه سانتی گراد نگهداری می شود.
وی افزود: پس از گذشت این مدت زمان، نمونه را از دستگاه خارج کرده و نتایج تغییر رنگ نانو ذرات بررسی می شود.
دکتر جواد تشخوریان ، استاد بخش شیمی دانشگاه شیراز و عضو تیم تحقیق نیز با بیان اینکه این حسگر در مرحله آزمایشگاهی ساخته شده و برای تولید انبوه آن نیاز به مشارکت سرمایه گذاران است، اظهار داشت: این حسگر افزون بر آزمایشگاه ها و بیمارستان ها می تواند در مطب پزشکان و منازل نیز مورد استفاده قرار گیرد.
وی افزود : حسگر رنگی تشخیص عفونت ادراری بر پایه نانو ذرات، گواهی ثبت اختراع از اداره ثبت مالکیت صنعتی را نیز دریافت کرده است.
گفتنی است این پروژه، نتایج تحقیقات رساله دکتری آقای محمد مهدی بردبار بوده و دکتر بهرام همتی نژاد و دکتر جواد تشخوریان ، استاد راهنمای این رساله بوده اند .
