The selected team of mountaineers from Shiraz University successfully climbed to the highest peak of Iran (Mount Damavand) in the Alborz Mountain range.
According to the Public Relations department of Shiraz University, 18 mountaineers from the university, after months of training and physical preparation under the supervision of the team leader, and climbing several peaks including the Central Howze Dal in the Zagros mountain range, were able to climb Mount Damavand in the Alborz mountain range from the northeast side and through the path of Takht Fereydoun shelter, in a four-day program from 26 to 30 Tir (July 17-21).
The mountaineers of Shiraz University who climbed to the highest peak of Iran (Mount Damavand) are as follows: Ali Mozaffari (team leader), Alireza Emami, Abdollah Bezar Gar, Mohammadreza Hajati, Dr. Bahram Heydari, Farhad Rostampour, Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Ali Zomorodian, Dr. Ahmad Sheikhieh, Dr. Amin Shirvani, Dr. Saber Sadeghi, Ebrahim Ghazanfari, Dr. Zakaria Farajzadeh, Dr. Mehran Ghaemi, Dr. Ali Gorgani, Dr. Mehdi Mohammadi, and Dr. Arya Vazirzadeh.
