شب شعر شیراز به مناسبت روز شیراز با حضور شاعرانی چون محمدعلی بهمنی، گروس عبدالملکیان و عبدالجبار کاکایی و شاعران نام آشنای شیراز در باغ جهان نما برگزار می شود. 
- اخبار استانها - به گزارش خبرگزاری تسنیم از شیراز، امروز در تقویم به نام شهری ثبت شده که هنوز در گذر سالیان سال می توان معرفت و رفاقت با اصالت ایرانی را در میان مردمانش دید و در کوچه کوچه این شهر می توان همراه با عطر بهارنارنج ها، عطر خوش شعر و فرهنگ ایرانی را نفس کشید. مردمان شیراز به زعم بسیاری از پژوهشگران در طول تاریخ همچون یک خان سالار پذیرای دیگران بودند و از ماحصل این مدارا و دگرپذیری شیرازی ها مکتب شیراز در انواع هنرها پدید آمده است. امروز 15 اردیبهشت ماه به نام شیراز ثبت شده و هر سال برنامه های مختلفی از سوی شهرداری شیراز برای گرامیداشت این روز اعلام می شود. شب شعر شیراز یکی از این برنامه هاست که امشب ساعت 20:30 تا 22 با حضور شاعرانی چون محمدعلی بهمنی، گروس عبدالملکیان و عبدالجبار کاکایی و شاعران نام آشنای شیراز در باغ جهان نما برگزار می شود. روزی به نام شیراز؛ چرا شیرازی ها را فرهنگ مدار می دانند؟ 5 فروردین به عنوان روز مهربانی به نام مردم شیراز ثبت ملی شود 15 اردیبهشت روزی به نام شیراز؛ جشنواره « قاصد اردیبهشت» برگزار می شود در این مراسم علاوه بر شعرخوانی شاعران و اجرای گروه موسیقی چکاد از استاد محمود طاووسی تجلیل می شود. وی که سال هاست استاد دانشگاه شیراز است نقش مهمی در حوزه شعر و ادبیات شیراز ایفا کرده است. این استاد ارزشمند تذکره مرآت الفصاحه که کامل ترین زندگی نوشت شاعران فارس و شیراز است، تذکره شعاعیه، دیوان وصال شیرازی، نثار شیرازی و حجاب شیرازی تصحیح و چندین اثر ارزشمند دیگر را در حوزه شعر و ادبیات شیراز تألیف کرده است.
