عضو هیات علمی دانشگاه آدلاید استرالیا با انتقاد از کم توجهی برخی دانشگاه های کشور به دانش «بیو انفورماتیک» ابراز عقیده کرد: منابع دانشگاه ها متناسب با پیشرفت دانش بیوانفورماتیک به روز رسانی نمی شود و در سرفصل های دروس آن ها نیز فقط بخش خاصی را به این دانش اختصاص داده اند. به گزارش خبرنگار خبرگزاری دانشجویان ایران(ایسنا) منطقه خراسان، دکتر اسماعیل ابراهیمی که در کارگاه تخصصیRNA-Seq Analysis, Gene ontology and Gene Networking در دانشگاه فردوسی مشهد سخن می گفت با بیان اینکه دانش بیوانفورماتیک در تمامی رشته ها تاثیرگذار بوده به طوری که همه ی آن ها به نوعی با ژنوم سروکار دارند، تصریح کرد: ایرانیان در زمینه توانایی ایده پردازی و تولید داده در سطح مناسبی قرار داشته ولی متاسفانه این دانش نوین در سرفصل های دانشگاه ها تدریس نمی شود و افراد کمی هستند که به شاخه های مختلف آن تسلط دارند. وی خاطرنشان کرد: دانش بیوانفورماتیک در ایران نیازمند سرمایه گذاری کلان و زیرساخت های مناسب تری نظیر سایر کشورها که این امکانات را در اختیار دانشگاه های خود می گذارند، بوده که متاسفانه برنامه ریزی مناسبی در این زمینه وجود ندارد. ابراهیمی با بیان اینکه مشکل اصلی دانش بیوانفورماتیک در ایران دسترسی به اطلاعات است ادامه داد: کشور ایران از لحاظ توانایی آماری و آنالیز این دانش در سطح سایر کشورها و حتی بالاتر قرار دارد ولی مشکلاتی نظیر دسترسی سخت به توالی ها موجب کاهش روند و دسترسی مشکل به داده ها شده است. این محقق دانشگاه آدلاید با بیان اینکه دانش بیوانفورماتیک در بخش آنالیز نیازمند هزینه و زمان زیادی در کشور بوده است، تصریح کرد: بیوانفورماتیک دانشی جدید میان آمار، زیست شناسی و رایانه است که گسترش شدید این علم به پروژه های جنرال یابی با هزینه کم به انسان و حیوان کمک خواهد کرد. گفتنی است، ابراهیمی، تحصیلات کارشناسی خود را در رشته اصلاح نباتات در دانشگاه شیراز و دوره کارشناسی ارشد این رشته را در دانشگاه تهران پشت سرگذاشته و در ادامه دکتری ژنتیک ملکولی و مهندسی ژنتیک خود را از دانشگاه تهران اخذ کرده است. انتهای پیام
