According to the latest results of the national ranking by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Shiraz University is among the top five universities in the country.
As reported by the public relations office of Shiraz University, based on the latest national ranking results of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) for the year 1400-1401 (2021-2022), Shiraz University is ranked among the top five universities in the country. (Table 1).
The ranking of Iranian universities and research institutions by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) has been ongoing since 1389 (2010). In the ranking for the year 1400-1401(2021-2022), which has recently been announced, a total of 115 public universities and 17 private universities are included. The ranking is conducted at two levels, including rankings among similar universities (comprehensive, technical, agricultural, and art universities, etc.) and the overall level (overall performance of various types of universities). The performance of universities and higher education institutions are evaluated in six areas: education (weighted at 30%), research (weighted at 25%), technology and innovation (weighted at 20%), internationalization (weighted at 10%), economic impact (weighted at 10%), and social services, infrastructure, and facilities (weighted at 5%). Based on this evaluation, Shiraz University has achieved the fifth position among universities.
