Human beings have long paid special attention to the behavior of materials (substances) and the interactions in the nature and using these interactions to improve the quality of life and advance their scientific and industrial goals.

Human beings have long paid special attention to the behavior of materials (substances) and the interactions in the nature and using these interactions to improve the quality of life and advance their scientific and industrial goals.

The department of chemistry at Shiraz University, which is 40 years old, is one of the first chemistry departments in the nation. This department has admitted master students besides undergraduate ones. Its brilliant record and relation with top universities worldwide is one of the factors that caused Shiraz University to be named the flagship university in the south of Iran.  Thanks for the top professors and brilliant records in industrial projects this department is known as the center of excellence for refining gas and petroleum across the nation.
