The Faculty of Science has been constantly active in the promotion of research and knowledge since it was started in 1334.

 

The Faculty of Science has been constantly active in the promotion of research and knowledge since it was started in 1334. This faculty is one of the large ones in Shiraz University. The selection of some professors from the Faculty of Science as the best professors in the nation is a good indicator of the quality of the scientific activities done in this faculty. The alumni of this faculty at masters and doctoral levels are teaching and conducting research at different universities and serving our Islamic community. The best students of the country have been selected among those from this faculty several times. All students at Shiraz University pass their basic science courses at this faculty, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, statistics and the related laboratory work. The Faculty of Science has six departments: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology and statistics.
