پایگاه خبری تحلیلی بویرنیوز (BoyerNews.com) : جشن فارغ التحصیلی دانشجویان رشته پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شیراز عصر روز پنجشنبه باحضور اساتید دانشگاهی ،پرفسور خدادوست ، دکترایمانیه رئیس دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شیراز و خانواده دانشجویان ومیهمانان مدعو در سالن ولایت برگزار گردید. به گزارش بویرنیوز ، این مراسم که از ساعت 18:30 عصرپنج شنبه درسالن ولایت واقع درخیابان نیایش شیراز برگزار گردید با برنامه هایی از قبیل اجرای موسیقی،سخنرانی پرفسور خدادوست ، قرائت دسته جمعی سوگندنامه پزشکی و پذیرایی از میهمانان بصرف شام و توزیع کیک فارغ التحصیلی صورت پذیرفت. گفتنی است دانشجویان فارغ التحصیل در رشته پزشکی قریب 70 نفر بودند که در سال 1387 توانسته بودند از فیلتر کنکور سراسری با کسب رتبه های برتربه این دانشگاه راه یابند. براساس این گزارش ، درمیان دانشجویان فارغ التحصیل رشته پزشکی تعدادی از فرزندان نخبه کهگیلویه وبویراحمدی حضور داشتند که بزودی برای خدمت به زادگاه خود به مناطق مختلف کهگیلویه وبویراحمد برخواهند گشت. 
دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شیراز با 70 سال سابقه درحال حاضربا بیش از 8000 دانشجو و دستیار تخصصی، 91 رشته مختلف تحصیلی، 539 عضوهیئت علمی و بیش از 18000 پرسنل بهداشتی، درمانی و پشتیبانی علاوه برتعلیم و تربیت جوانان این مرز و بوم، مسئولیت تأمین بهداشت و درمان استان فارس را نیز بر عهده دارد. این دانشگاه علاوه بر کیفیت مطلوب آموزشی و پژوهشی با انجام فعالیت های درمانی پیچیده ای نظیر پیوند کبد، قلب، کلیه و دیگر درمان های پیشرفته به بیماران و نیازمندان خدمت ارائه نموده و به عنوان یکی از بزرگ ترین و معتبرترین دانشگاه های ایران و خاورمیانه مشغول فعالیت می باشد
