According to the latest results released by the QS World University Rankings 2025, Shiraz University is ranked between 691 and 700 globally among the nine Iranian universities included in this ranking. It holds the seventh position nationally and is the third among comprehensive universities in the country.
Dr. Ali Hafizi, Vice President for Research and Technology at Shiraz University, announced this news, stating that the QS ranking is one of the most reputable international ranking systems conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds in the UK. It is unique in its emphasis on graduate employability and sustainability.
He continued that approximately 1,500 institutions from 105 regions worldwide were evaluated in this ranking. Among the nine Iranian universities present in the 2025 ranking, Sharif University of Technology holds the top national position with a global rank of 342, followed by the University of Tehran at 368. The other universities ranked are as follows: Amirkabir University of Technology at 403, Iran University of Science and Technology at 436, Isfahan University of Technology at 489, Tabriz University at 552, Shiraz University at 700-691, Shahid Beheshti University at 900-851, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad at 1000-951, occupying third to ninth positions nationally.
