According to the Public Relations Office of Shiraz University, a joint cooperation agreement has been signed between the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy and Shiraz University to support the achievement of scientific and technological authority and the development of a knowledge-based economy.
The agreement was signed during a meeting by Dr. Meysam Farajollahi, Head of the Management Center for Major and Driving Projects at the Vice Presidency, and Dr. Mohammad Moazeni, President of Shiraz University.
The central focus of this agreement is to support the university's effective role in achieving scientific authority, advancing knowledge, and developing valuable scientific achievements related to technology and the commercialization of knowledge-based and technological products. It also aims to attract talent and enhance laboratory infrastructure and science and technology parks.
Key objectives of the cooperation agreement include supporting the realization of problem-oriented and transformative scientific research authority, publishing top research achievements internationally, and developing collaborations between the university and economic sectors and large companies using the capacity of tax incentives for research and development and investment.
Additionally, the agreement emphasizes the empowerment and employability of students and graduates, as well as assisting in the maturation and development of technological and laboratory infrastructures at the university.
Notably, this agreement encompasses research grants and tax incentives valued at approximately 450 billion tomans, effective for two years between the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy and Shiraz University.
