اهدای کتابخانه شخصی زنده‌یاد محمدحسین شبانی به کتابخانه مرکزی دانشگاه شیراز


به‌گزارش روابط عمومی دانشگاه شیراز، خانواده زنده‌یاد محمدحسین شبانی در اقدامی خیرخواهانه و فرهنگی، کتابخانه شخصی ایشان را به کتابخانه مرکزی و مرکز اسناد دانشگاه شیراز اهدا کردند. این اقدام ارزشمند، در راستای ترویج فرهنگ کتاب‌خوانی و گسترش منابع علمی برای استفاده جامعه دانشگاهی صورت گرفته است.

دکتر فرزانه عفیفیان، رئیس کتابخانه مرکزی و مرکز اسناد دانشگاه شیراز، ضمن قدردانی از این اقدام گفت: خانواده زنده‌یاد شبانی با نیک‌اندیشی و درک عمیق از ارزش انتقال دانش، مجموعه‌ای ارزشمند از کتاب‌های آن مرحوم را به دانشگاه اهدا کردند.

وی توضیح داد: کارشناسان متخصص کتابخانه با رعایت معیارهای مجموعه‌سازی و براساس شیوه‌نامه گزینش کتاب، به بررسی منابع پرداختند و کتاب‌ها را با دقت شناسایی و تفکیک کردند. در مرحله نخست، حدود ۳هزار جلد کتاب در حوزه‌های گوناگون ازجمله ادبیات، روان‌شناسی، جامعه‌شناسی، حقوق، علوم سیاسی، مدیریت، فلسفه و ورزش بررسی شد که درنهایت، ۵۰۰ جلد کتاب دانشگاهی و کمک‌درسی ارزشمند برای افزوده شدن به مجموعه کتابخانه مرکزی و کتابخانه دانشکده حقوق دانشگاه انتخاب و منتقل شد.

گفتنی است؛ زنده‌یاد محمدحسین شبانی (۱۳۲۷-۱۴۰۳ه.ش) از چهره‌های فرهنگی فرهیخته بوده که سال‌ها در شرکت نفت آبادان خدمت کرده و علاقه‌مند به مطالعه در حوزه‌های متنوع علمی و ادبی بوده است.

به پاس این اقدام خیرخواهانه و در تقدیر از سخاوت خانواده ایشان، تندیسی به رسم یادبود به خانواده محترم شبانی تقدیم گردید.
