Dr. Ramin Vatan-Khah, a faculty member of Shiraz University, has been appointed as the head of the Mechanics Research Center of the Iranian Space Research Institute.
According to the public relations office of Shiraz University, by the decree of Dr. Hassan Salarieh, the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology and the Head of the Iranian Space Agency, Dr. Ramin Vatan-Khah, an associate professor in the Department of Solid Mechanics Engineering at Shiraz University, has been appointed as the head of the Mechanics Research Center of the Iranian Space Research Institute as of October 18.
Dr. Ramin Vatan-Khah (born in 1985 in Fars province) holds a PhD from Sharif University of Technology, where he also completed his undergraduate studies at Shiraz University. He has been teaching at Shiraz University as a faculty member since 2013. In 2012, he was recognized as an exemplary doctoral student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology and was honored as the top researcher at Shiraz University in 2017.
It is worth mentioning that the Iranian Space Research Institute was established in 2011 to address some of the country's needs in the field of space science and technology, and it operates under the administrative authority of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
