The Minister of Science, Research and Technology Officially Opens Two Sports Venues for Women at Shiraz University


During his official visit to Shiraz University, the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Dr. Mohammadali Zolfigol, formally opened two sports venues on campus.

According to the University Public Relations liaison, Dr. Zolfigol attended the opening ceremony during his three-day visit to Fars province. A special gym for women, constructed over an area of 290 square meters in the female students' dormitory complex quarters, was one of the projects opened during this ceremony. This sporting facility, completed with the budget of 27 billion Rials, will accommodate students interested in all martial arts, bodybuilding, physical fitness, and functional training. In addition, the minister formally opened the 670-square-meter women's football pitch, which was completed with the approximate budget of 6 billion Rials.
