School of Agriculture, as one of the departments of Shiraz University, was established in 1955. From 1961, this school transferred to a new location, Bajgah. At the moment, it has 12 active departments with different fields of study & different research centers. The faculty library, in 1962, with nearly 2000 volumes began its activity. At the present time, it has 10713 Persian volumes & 16097 Latin volumes.

 The Iranian art, architecture & civilization have always been indebted to Fars Province in different period of history from Achaemenid & Sassanid dynasties up to the development of Islamic period. Regarding the young population and the requirement of constructing different spaces for living, working and recreation as well as preserving the traditional valuable arts; The School of Art & Architecture has begun its activity since 1994 at the Faculty of Literature & Humanity Science. From 2000, the school has been moved to a new place at Goldasht, Ma'ali Abad.

 The 40- year- old Chemical Engineering Department of Shiraz University is considered as one of the first chemical engineering departments of the Country. Its brilliant history & connection with the world's great universities made Shiraz University as a prominent one. Student admission in Gas Engineering has begun since 2002. From 2012, the school has launched a Master degree in Petroleum Engineering, branch of hydrocarbon reservoirs.

 In 2003, the school began its activity by the name of "School of Social Sciences"  with 3 departments including Economics, Social Sciences and Management & accounting. Since 2005, it has been named as School of Economics, Management & Social Sciences. 

 The establishment of the School of Education & Psychology was proposed to the Ministry of Science by Dr. Asghar Razavieh & the general principals of this proposal was agreed in 1974. Persian Literature, English Literature, Social Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics & Education were the school existing fields of study at that time. Psychology, which was until 1977 an existing field in the School of Literature & Humanity Science, was also transferred to this school in 1977. At the moment, the school has 7 departments with different fields of study.

  Many of the leading countries are trying to launch virtual universities & classes in the area of telecommunications. This kind of virtual universities have a lot of benefits including the augmentation of students' number, elimination of physical & geographical obstacles, quick access to the world information resources and ... . The School of E-learning has started its activity since 2003.

 The 21^st century is the century of communication & exchange of information. Engineering & Computer Science is a kind of science that affects other sciences, as well. Computer is not only give its way to industry, universities & research centers but also to offices, schools, shopping centers, houses and ... . In fact, it has become irreplaceable tool in the modern era. Regarding the above mentioned cases & according to the decree of Shiraz University's Board of Directors, The School of Electrical & Computer Engineering was inaugurated in 1999.

  The school started its activity by the name of "School of Law" in 1977 with just one department. In 1993, the university began to give admission to students for Master's degree in Public Law & Private Law. The department of Political Science was added to the school and the school was renamed "School of Law & Political Science", thereafter. In the year 2013, the school managed to set up a Ph.D. degree in Islamic & Private Law & in Criminal Law, too.

 Shiraz, cradle of literature & science - is the birthplace of the great poets and literary figures. Since the beginning, this school has been a place for great scholars & scientists. Presently, it consists of 5 departments.

 The use of Mechanical Engineering in all engineering sciences is to such an extent that none of these sciences can be assumed as an independent one. Mechanical Engineering graduates have always had a special place in Industry. In 1964, The School of Mechanical Engineering started its activity by giving admission for Bachelor’s degree. Then, it was in 1969 that the school began to give admission for Master’s degree. At the moment, the school has 4 departments with 35 faculty members. To complete its technical training, the school benefits from equipped laboratories & workshops.

 Founded in 2009, The School of New Science & Technology aims to develop cross-disciplinary fields of study & perform applied researches in area of new technologies. At first step, the master’s degree in Nano Chemical Engineering was launched & other fields of study is arranged to be launched, progressively.

 Founded in 1955, The School of Sciences has started its uninterrupted scientific activities & has made every effort for its improvement. The school is one of the biggest schools of Shiraz University. Selecting distinguished professors of the country is a factor that indicates its top level of quality. Graduates from the school, provide a wide variety of scientific activities in universities throughout the world. For several times, the students of the school were selected as the exemplary students of the country. All of the students of Shiraz University pass their basic courses such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, statistics and … in this school.

 Having formed in 1983 in School of Literature & Humanity Science, the Department of Theology & Islamic Studies has started its activity; the purpose of which is to promote the students’ Islamic Religious level through public courses in Islamic Studies. In the next step, Theology & Islamic Studies has launched as a field of study. Finally, with grace of God, the School of Theology & Islamic Studies has established in 2013. The Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Islamic Word and Philosophy & Jurisprudence and Quran Sciences were launched, gradually. Recently, a Ph.D. degree in Islamic Word and Philosophy has been added to the section. In each semester, it offers public courses to more than 7500 undergraduate students. 

 Having started its activity in 1969 with 8 students & a faculty member, the School of Veterinary Science of Shiraz University – with a wide area of 105 hectares- was the second school of veterinary science in Iran after School of Veterinary Science of Tehran University. In 1999, the first Iranian veterinary Journal by the name of “Iranian Journal of Veterinary Research” was released by the school. This Journal is indexed by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI).

 Having begun its activity since early 2004, Shiraz University International Division was launched with 3 classes & 7 faculty members and during 10 years, the number of students has risen up to 1700. In 2015, the campus gave admission to graduate students in 80 fields of study. Considering the large number of applicants interested in entering universities; there are many of those who fail in entrance exam; in this regard, Shiraz University International Division provides chances for undergraduate & graduate students to study at a valid international unit. The professors of the International Division are the Shiraz University’s faculty members. In some few cases, visiting professors from valid universities of the country have been invited to teach courses in their area of expertise.
