According to QS World University Rankings 2023, Shiraz University ranked 751-800^th globally and 5^th locally. In this ranking, around 1500 higher education institutions (1421, to be precise) from all over the world were assessed, where Sharif University of Technology made it to the 380^th place, followed by AmirKabir University of Technical Works at the 443^rd place. Also, this year, University of Tehran ranked 501-510 (3^rd place among Iranian universities), Iran University of Science and Technology ranked 531-540 (4^th place in the country), Shiraz University ranked at 751-800 place (5^th place in the country), and Shahid Beheshti University ranked at 1001-1200 (6^th place among Iranian universities).

     As can be seen in the following table, compared to other Iranian universities, Shiraz University was able to preserve its rank in two consecutive years.
