According to the Public Relations of Shiraz University, the first specialized campus of agriculture and veterinary science in the country was launched at Shiraz University to increase the penetration coefficient of technology and innovation and the development of the knowledge-based economy in the fields of agriculture, food industries, natural resources, and veterinary medicine.
This campus includes two sections, "Veterinary Technology Village" and "Agricultural Technology Village", and currently, its Veterinary Technology Village has started its activities by issuing a call to attract technology and knowledge-based cores and companies and holding familiarization sessions with the village.
Veterinary Technology Village
Dr. Hamed Dehghanpour, the head of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science at Shiraz University, stated that the College (Village) of Agricultural and Veterinary Science and Technology has been established to provide the necessary facilities and infrastructure for meeting the industry and society's specialized needs in collaboration with the Science and Technology Park of the province.
He stated that the missions include: developing technology and the knowledge-based economy in the agriculture and food security sector, increasing technology and knowledge-based companies in this field, completing the value chain in the agriculture and veterinary sector, expanding innovative technologies in the food and agriculture sector, especially in the field of smart agriculture and agricultural waste management, increasing added value in the veterinary industry, and developing technology and the knowledge-based economy in the animal (livestock and domestic) sector, as well as supporting the needs of agricultural technologists (technologies related to seeds, tissue technology, seed production, animal feed, etc.).
Call for Engaging Cores and Technology and Knowledge-Based Companies in the Agricultural and Veterinary Science and Technology Campus of Shiraz University
Dr. Dehghanpour said: A call has been published to recruit technology and knowledge-based cores and companies in the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science and Technology at Shiraz University, and various supports including establishment services, business training, specialized consulting, mentoring, and technology commercialization services have been considered for them.
