A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and Shiraz University.
According to the Public Relations of Shiraz University, a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and Shiraz University was concluded. The purpose of this memorandum is to make the most of the university's capacity to improve the country's economic policymaking.
This memorandum, which was signed on the sidelines of the "Iranian Economy Conference; Structural Reforms, Addressing Inefficiencies, and Innovative Role-playing in the International Arena," was signed by Dr. Seyed Ehsan Khan Doozi, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, and Dr. Parviz Rostamzadeh, the Administrative and Financial Deputy of Shiraz University on behalf of Shiraz University.
The subjects of the memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and Shiraz University, which consists of five articles and one note and is valid for two years, include: conducting scientific studies in the field of Iran's economy with an emphasis on the university's specialized management and the development of the province; providing operational solutions to address deficiencies in economic and regional policies; studying and researching in the areas of ministry performance and research needs of provincial directorates and ministries; defining and executing projects, especially in the field of economic policy and regional economics that lead to problem-solving; providing specialized scientific consultations, analyses, and scientific strategies in the areas of chronic and fundamental economic issues and current issues in Iran's economy; organizing seminars, short-term training courses, and workshops to enhance the scientific knowledge of ministry employees; providing a platform for university students to become familiar with the real economic policy-making environment and various departments of the ministry; harmonizing theses and dissertations with the ministry's issues and provincial economic matters; providing a platform for utilizing the experiential capacity of ministry managers and employees in directing and supervising university studies; exchanging data, statistics, and necessary scientific resources in studies, reviews, and policymaking; involving university faculty members in the research and study units of the ministry and its affiliated organizations to deepen and refine studies and reports being developed by ministry colleagues and promote a demand-driven approach in establishing financial and economic science fields in line with ministry needs.
