Shiraz University has announced support for scholarships in 11 fields of study. The Vice Presidency for Education and Graduate Studies at Shiraz University, in a statement noted that 56 qualified candidates in the announced 11 major fields will receive financial support. Dr. Moslem Bagheri, the Vice President for Education at Shiraz University, explained that to financially support a number of eligible candidates from the national entrance exam across various groups—mathematics, experimental sciences, humanities, and arts—the university has allocated some of its capacities in different fields to the student scholarship program, in collaboration with the Central Scholarship Council of the Student Affairs Organization under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
He continued that scholarship recipients at Shiraz University will receive a monthly study grant of 70 million rials for 48 months, and if their academic performance is high, this scholarship may continue through the master's and doctoral levels.
According to Dr. Bagheri, Shiraz University will provide scholarships for the following fields, with 5 seats each for statistics, physics, agricultural economics engineering, history, Persian language and literature, philosophy and Islamic theology, sociology, economics, handicrafts, and carpets, while the field of mathematics and its applications will have 6 seats available.
