Dr. Parviz Rostamzadeh, the Administrative and Financial Deputy and the Acting Deputy of Planning and Development of Shiraz University, announced the extraordinary reception of Nowruz travelers at the tourist attractions of Shiraz University.
Dr. Parviz Rostamzadeh stated: From the last week of the year 1402 (March 2024) to the 12th of Farvardin (March 31st) of this year, over 400,000 individuals have visited the tourist attractions of Shiraz University, namely the Eram Botanical Garden, the Ghavam Orange Garden Museum, and the Natural History and Technology Museum of Shiraz University.
He further provided a breakdown of the visits to the attractions of Shiraz University during Nowruz and said: The highest number of visits is related to the Eram Botanical Garden, which has been visited by more than 315,000 tourists during Nowruz. The Eram Garden, with its historical values and the splendor of ancient architecture present in the garden, alongside the ancient cypresses that have global fame, as well as the blossoms of trees and a bed of seasonal flowers, creates a special attraction and attracts a large population of tourists from the country every year.
The Administrative and Financial Deputy of Shiraz University added that the Ghavam Orange Garden Museum ranked second among the attractions of Shiraz University with over 85,000 visitors. This museum is also one of the most famous historical structures in Shiraz, currently housing various sections such as textile museums, coin collections, Iranian musical instruments, objects, and galleries.
Dr. Rostamzadeh reported that the Natural History and Technology Museum of Shiraz University, which reopened after two months of renovation on the eve of the new year, encountered the reception of tourists and was visited by nearly 6,000 individuals from its various sections.
He added: The Natural History and Technology Museum of Shiraz University currently includes sections on zoology, botany, geology, anatomy, electrical engineering, and telecommunications, with sections on astronomy, tribes, and aerospace in the process of completion, and we hope that with the provision of funding, it will be prepared and added to the other active sections of the museum as soon as possible.
