This faculty was founded in1382 (2002) under the title of faculty of social sciences at Shiraz University System and comprised three departments.

This faculty was founded in1382 (2002) under the title of faculty of social sciences at Shiraz University System and comprised three departments. In 1384, it was renamed the faculty of ‘economics, management and social sciences'. In 1385, the faculty comprised two separate departments of accounting and management. In 1388, the department of tourism administration was added to the faculty. The faculty is now operating with five departments.
