Shiraz University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, together with its companies and startups, participated in INOTEX 2022; the 11th International Exhibition of Innovation and Technology.
INOTEX is considered as an influential tech event in Iran which is held annually by Pardis Technology Park (PTP) of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. This event brings technology and innovation experts around the world together to bridge the gap between innovators, investors and traders.
Dr. Mansour Kanani, Shiraz University's director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, stated that this event was attended with the purpose of enriching the country's overall climate of technology and innovation by strengthening the link between both national and international sponsors and investors and ensuing collaborations between their startups and corporates.
He also added that attending such events offers plethora of networking opportunities to shiraz University to interact and collaborate with the major figures of this innovative and technological ecosystem which will ultimately result in its enhancement by becoming able to invest more on ideas and startups.
It bears mentioning that this event was held from May 10th to May 13th and was welcomed by almost 500 companies and startups from countries such as India, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia.
Dr. Kanani further announced that trade and investment meetings had been planned and attended simultaneously with this event with the aim of expanding and enhancing innovative activities in both Shiraz University and Fars province.
He also mentioned that attendance of Shiraz University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at INOTEX 2020 was made possible with the help of Shiraz University's Vice Chancellor of Research and Technology, so that this team could become more adept regarding the general business issues and keep their fingers on the pulse of the latest technological and innovative trends such as the Metaverse, China's block chains, and Knowledge Enterprises.
Dr. Kanani also reported that this years' exhibition also provided this platform for companies to express their technological needs and requirements. Several companies in the oil industry, food industry and Red Crescent talked about their tech-related needs. Their call was responded by signing contracts of cooperation with those companies which were able to take care of such issues.
