A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Shiraz University and Shiraz Islamic Council.
As the Public Relations of Shiraz University reported, the MOU between Shiraz University and Shiraz Islamic Council was signed to increase mutual cooperation, present reciprocal services, and utilize the parties' abilities in the fields of education, science, and research in urban management subject and employ the hardware and software facilities of the parties.
This MOU signed on January 1, 2023, at the Shiraz Islamic Council Building, aims at the realization of the policy of achieving effective management and also the expansion of scientific, educational, and research collaborations along with benefiting from existing facilities, abilities, and capacities between Shiraz University and Shiraz Islamic Council. This MOU was signed by the representatives of both parties; Prof. Mohammad Moazeni (the rector of Shiraz University) and the engineer Mehdi Taheri (the head of Shiraz Islamic Council).
According to this memorandum, the joint cooperation of the parties includes cooperation and participation in holding brainstorming sessions, conferences, and specialized scientific meetings in the field of urban management at various provincial, national, and international levels; the Council's desired official announcement of the titles of scientific and technical research needs and consultation to the university and reviewing the mentioned titles and officially announcing the things that can be done by the university; Cooperating in carrying out research projects by providing the Council's desired technical and consulting services or introducing qualified faculty members to implement study projects; financial support for postgraduate courses with the related topic in a way to meet the needs of the city's Council, especially in the field of urban management and services, and cooperation in the field of holding training courses regarding urban issues in need of the municipality.
