در این سخنرانی ها دکتر امین شیروانی عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه شیراز به موضوع بارش ماهواره¬ای TRMM و پیش¬بینی فصلی بارش در ایران به وسیله GCMs پرداخت و پدیده ال¬نینو نوسان¬های جنوبی و نقش آن در نوسان¬های بارش و دمای ایران به وسیله دکتر محمدجعفر ناظم السادات عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه ... به گزارش پایگاه اطلاع رسانی صنعت آب و برق(پاراب) ، دکتر شیروانی ضمن ارائه اطلاعاتی در خصوص بارش ماهواره¬ای TRMM گفت: امروزه ماهواره ها با بهره گیری از امواج میکروویو فعال و غیر فعال رادار و سنسورهای عملگرا در نور مرئی و مادون قرمز، قادر به تخمین بارش برای اغلب مناطق دنیا هستند. وی با اشاره به اینکه هزینه های زیادی برای پرتاب، نگهداری و ذخیره سازی اطلاعات این ماهواره ها از سوی سازمان¬های فضایی در جهان پرداخت می شود افزود: این در حالی است که اطلاعات آنها به صورت برخط و رایگان در دسترس کاربران قرار دارد. از آنجا که تخمین بارش ماهواره ای در استان فارس در مقیاس زمانی ماهانه و سالانه از دقت خوبی برخوردار است، اطلاعات این ماهواره می تواند درتصمیم گیری های مدیریتی استان به کار گرفته شود. دکتر ناظم السادات نیز ضمن معرفی پدیده ال¬نینو نوسان¬های جنوبی (ENSO) خاطرنشان کرد: رخداد دوران¬گرم به نام ال نینیو و سرد به عنوان لانینا شناخته می شود و تا اندازه زیادی می¬تواند بارش در پهنه¬های گوناگون ایران را دستخوش تغییرات نماید. ناظم السادات به چیرگی دوران ال نینیو و لانینا در پاییز امسال اشاره کرد و افزود: این پدیده تا اندازه زیادی ابتدا افزایش و سپس کاهش منابع آبی این فصل را برای بیشتر بخش¬های کشور به همراه داشت؛ این در حالی است که برای فصل زمستان ارتباط معنی¬داری میان نوسان¬های بارش و چیرگی دوران ال نینیو و لانینا در برخی از گستره¬های کشور دیده نشده است. وی با تاکید بر اینکه میزان تاثیر این پدیده بر نوسان بارش در بخش¬های گوناگون کشور یکسان نیست اضافه کرد: چیرگی دوران لانینا، کاهش 20 تا 50 درصدی ال نینو و افزایش 20 تا70 درصدی بارش¬های فصل سرد استان¬های بوشهر، کهگیلویه و بویراحمد و جنوب فارس را به همراه داشته است در حالیکه در سایر بخش¬های جنوب غربی کشور نشان موثری از این پدیده بر نوسان بارش فصل سرد دیده نشده است
