This faculty was founded in 1356 under the name of faculty of law comprising a single department, i.e. law, in the Shiraz University System. In 1372, the first master's degree program in public law and private law started with the admission of students, and then in 1375, a new subfield called "International Law" was added to the collection of master's degree programs in this field.

Faculty of Law and political sciences

This faculty was founded in 1356 under the name of faculty of law comprising a single department, i.e. law, in the

Shiraz University System. In 1372, the first master's degree program in public law and private law started with the admission of students, and then in 1375, a new subfield called "International Law" was added to the collection of master's degree programs in this field.

In 1381, the field of political science in this faculty was established and the faculty was renamed the "Faculty of Law and Political Science". In 2005, the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology started.

In February 2013, this faculty managed to launch doctoral programs in private law, criminal law and criminology.

In 1396, the doctorate of public law and in 1395 and 1396, the doctorate of political science were launched.

Each of the listed fields of study is governed by an independent department called by the name of the same field of study.
