The "Conference on New Research in Humanities" was held at Shiraz University.
The conference was held on Wednesday, August 2, in 2023, in Dr. Mostafavi Hall at Shiraz University, aimed to present the latest achievements in the field of humanities and to enhance international interactions at Shiraz University. The international conference, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at Shiraz University and the Zakat Institute of Iraq, saw the participation of dozens of Arabic-speaking researchers from Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and France, both in-person and virtually.
During this international conference, Dr. Mohammad Moazeni, the head of Shiraz University, delivered a welcome speech to the participants and provided a report on the scientific and research position of Shiraz University in the international arena.
Furthermore, Dr. Seyed Ahmad Fazl-Zadeh, the Head of the Regional Library and the ISC Islamic World Citation Database, introduced the activities of the library and emphasized the necessity of developing international activities in the field of science in Islamic countries.
In addition, during this event, Dr. Vesam Matiri, the Head of the Conference and the Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, and Dr. Hussein Morashi, the Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Department at Shiraz University, also delivered speeches. Dr. Ajami from Oman and Dr. Karbasi from Iraq presented their recent research in the field of humanities during the conference, too.
