At the 2nd Rectors' Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities, Shiraz University signed MoUs with Lomonosov Moscow State University and Altai State University, two major Russian universities.
Dr. Azimifar, Head of the International Relations Office at Shiraz University, stated that this cooperation, which is in align with the university’s program for strengthening international relations, is set on different issues such as advancements in mutual academic and educational cooperations, exchange of university professors and students, establishment of joint courses and joint research.
Dr. V. A. Sadovnichiy, Rector of MGU Lomonosov University and Head of the Russian Union of Rectors also pointed out the six international branches of Lomonosov Moscow State University and expressed his willingness to strengthen bonds with Shiraz University on subjects concerning Russian language programs for Farsi speakers, exchange of students, joint scientific projects and joint conferences.
It should be noted that Tehran University hosted the 2nd Rectors' Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities, which was held with the participation of 13 university presidents from major Iranian universities and 18 university presidents from major Russian universities. The first meeting of this kind was held in Russia and the third forum is also to be held in Russia next year.
