Dr. Rahimi, Head of the Psychotherapy Center at Shiraz University, visited Germany’s University of Dresden to discuss matters of further collaboration. This meeting was arranged in accordance to Dr. Clemens Kirschbaum’s invitation, Head of the Department of Psychology at Dresden University.
At this meeting, Dr. Rahimi, Head of the School of education & Psychology at Shiraz University, gave an insight to the capabilities present at the faculty and emphasized their interest to form a strong connection between the two faculties. Exchange of students and professors, joint research, post-doctoral opportunities for both universities, and joint workshops were other topics of discussion at this meeting.
The group also took a tour around the Department of Psychology to get a clearer insight into the potentials and capabilities of this department.
It should be noted that at the moment, this center runs one of the greatest psychological projects regarding the connection between the brain and mind, and how they affect human attitude.
Dr. Rahimi also met with Prof. Jürgen Hoyer, Head of the Institute of Clinical Psychology at Dresden University, and discussed matters regarding methods of scientific-professional education for graduates of Psychology and the different approaches for curing patients at that center.
