The educational and research conference on Bio-NEMS & Bio-MEMS came to an end after 4 days at the Ameer Kabeer Conference Hall. Professor M. Jalisi, Director of the conference, introduced professors Madou and Kido from the University of California and then spoke a few words on the need to advance international cooperations in fields such as Bio-Nano-Electromechanics and Bio-Micro-Electromechanics.
Professor Madou was the next speaker at the conference who gave some insights on the advantages and capabilities of this new technology in different areas, such as medical purposes. He further stated that 9 countries possess this new technology so far and Iran is on the brink of joining this group, despite some shortcomings and problems that need to be sorted out as soon as possible.
Dr. Kido also shared his point of view, pointing out the potentials of Iran to advance this technology and the bright future it conveys.
Dr. Abedini, Dean for the School of Engineering, was another key speaker at the conference who talked about the disabilities of the educational system in Iran and the need for improvements in our state of thought regarding this matter. He also recalled upon tourism and the need to improve mutual relations with foreign countries to wipe out the false negative image set for Iran on one hand, and on the other hand, it can help us introduce new technologies and broaden our scope of science.
