The Iran-Italy Joint Archeology Research Program will be running for 45 days at the Tal Ajori region in Persepolis. The group who will be in charge of this program, will be supervised by Dr A. Askari Chaverdi, faculty member at the SU Dept. of History & Archeology, and Prof. Pierfrancesco Callieri, faculty member at the Department of Cultural Heritage, University of Bologna. This interdisciplinary-designed research program aims to establish a data bank, containing information with different parameters, for the implemented regions.

According to Dr Askari, Baghe Firoozi is a region which has been a part of a greater city with the main structure of the palace placed at the heart and this research is an attempt to add to the information gathered previously by archeologists.
